The first vacation that I booked myself was quite average, or "mid" as the kids say these days. I was 21 and visiting Frankfurt am Main, Germany and Paris, France with my husband (then boyfriend) and uncle during my last Spring Break in college. Other than booking our flights and hotels, we had nothing else planned for the trip. The spontaneity of our trip was exciting, but we missed out on incredible experiences, like touring Frankfurt via riverboat and seeing the Mona Lisa at the Louvre. That being said, being in a new city, country, and continent gave me such an immense feeling of wanderlust, and I was already planning my next adventure during the flight home - this time with a more thorough itinerary. Since that first international trip, I've planned a weekend visit to Berlin, Germany, a multi-city tour of Spain to celebrate the New Year, a multi-country tour of Europe for my honeymoon, and more recently, a two-week trip around Italy with my husband and our toddler. Within the US, I've traveled to the world's largest independent bookstore, the easternmost point of the 50 states, and some of the greatest beaches along the East Coast. I know how underwhelming a poorly-planned vacation can be. I also know how exhausting a trip can be when there are too many scheduled activities. I know how disappointing it can be when your husband gets sick on the way from Seville to Barcelona, causing you to miss out on your tour of the Basílica de la Sagrada Familia - and I know what its like to find a local Farmàcia, order medication for your husband in Spanish, and then take a sunset hike to Santa María de Montserrat when he feels better the next day. I know how to make traveling with kids as stress-free as possible by planning stroller-friendly museum visits during nap-time and choosing hotels with nearby parks and wide open areas for play. Most of my personal travel occurs during the summer since I work as a high school teacher during the September-May, but my free afternoons and evenings during the school-year allow me to plan travel experiences for every holiday break and 3-day-weekend. I would be honored and thrilled to plan your next vacation, whether it be a casual road trip, an international getaway, or anything in between. Let's get started together! :)
